Jess Moore

Photographer, Videographer & Content Creator

The Marketing
Agency Years

I graduated from McMaster University, where I specialized in multimedia and developed a strong foundation in photography, video production, and digital storytelling. Not long after graduating, I began freelancing and eventually moved to Australia, where I joined a marketing agency as their in-house photographer and videographer. This is where I learned the ins and outs of brand storytelling, and refined my technical skills

Building a Wedding Photography Business

Around the same time, I began photographing weddings on weekends. What started as a small side project quickly grew into something much bigger. Before long, I was consistently booking weddings and building a strong portfolio in both photography and videography. Weddings taught me how to work under pressure, capture authentic moments, and deliver polished visual storytelling, skills that continue to influence my work today.

Sedona &
The Creator Journey

During this same period, I also started an Instagram account for my Australian Shepherd, Sedona. What began as a fun creative outlet gradually grew into something much larger. As the account expanded and opportunities started appearing, it became clear that this was evolving into its own creative path. For the past three years, I’ve been doing this full time, creating content centred around adventure, storytelling, and life with Sedona.

🇦🇺

Sedona and I lived together in Australia for nearly four years before moving back home to Canada. We’ve dedicated much of our time to cinematic storytelling and traveling across North America, documenting our adventures.

Australia was where Sedona grew up exploring the outdoors, swimming in the ocean, and learning how big the world could be. But early in her life we faced a major challenge.

Sedona was diagnosed with Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA), a serious congenital heart condition that required heart surgery to correct. Thankfully the surgery was successful, and Sedona recovered incredibly well and is thriving, healthy, and still living a very adventurous life.

About a year later, we made a huge life change and moved from Australia back home to Canada. Since then, we’ve spent our time exploring as much of North America as possible together.

Sedona is incredibly smart, and as my first dog I spent a lot of time learning and documenting our training journey together. Over time, that slowly evolved into something bigger, a place where we now share our adventures and the places we explore together.

One of the most special trips we’ve ever taken was in May 2025, when we did a desert road trip and I finally brought Sedona to Sedona, Arizona, the place she was named after.

Her name was inspired by both the location and the song Sedona by Houndmouth, so getting to stand there together after years of adventure felt incredibly full circle.

Sedona has a big personality and quickly became known for her iconic selfies, cracking over 3 million likes!

At the end of the day though, Sedona is more than a content partner. She’s my adventure companion, my creative inspiration, and the reason I started sharing our story in the first place. Every photo, film, and trip we take together is simply another chapter in the life we’re building side by side.
